When patients with COVID-19 and other infectious diseases are in facilities are in hospital care or healthcare settings, it imperative for healthcare workers to wear disposable isolation gowns and other attire. It is also important that this apparel is changed between patients to prevent patient to patient spread as well. This creates high usages.
The DSC-CD-XL-2100 gown has been tested and passed the ASTM F2407-06 standard relating to standard specification for surgical gowns intended for use in healthcare facilities. It has also had liquid penetration tests done for the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (ATTCC 42). Results of these tests available upon request.
This Disposable Isolation Gown- Level 4 also meets FDA Level 1, 2, and 3 protective gown guidance. This guideline is set out by the FDA for “Liquid barrier performance and classification of protective apparel and drapes intended for use in health care facilities”.
The gowns measure 24″ wide at the shoulders and are 49″ long. This falls between the ankle and knee of an average height person. Does not provide protection to the feet or lower legs. The arms are 20″ long and 10.5″ wide. Arms are open on the end and hands must be protected by gloves, this gown on its own does not protect the hands. Opening at top is designed so most staffs head can fit comfortably through the opening. Does not provide protection to the head, neck, face, eyes or mouth on it’s own.
The easy tear open feature in front or rear provide a break-away capability when doffing the disposable isolation gown. this makes it so the staffs head doesn’t have to pass back through the gown and risk contamination from the soiled gown. simply tear away with gloves still on and then remove gloves to minimize exposure from outside of soiled gown to your skin.
