Product Description
Routine X-Ray Kit (10-Piece)
The Routine X-Ray Positioning Kit is a versatile solution designed to support accurate patient positioning across a wide range of imaging applications. This kit includes 10 lightweight foam positioning aids commonly used in general radiography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound procedures. Each component is designed to help improve positioning consistency and imaging efficiency while supporting patient comfort.
Available in multiple material options, the positioning aids are latex-free, MRI safe, and biocompatible. Facilities can choose from open cell foam, coated finishes for enhanced durability and cleanability, or closed cell foam for firmer support and resistance to fluid absorption. This reusable, non-sterile kit is a practical and reliable addition to any imaging department.

Material Options
- Open Cell Foam (DSC-17-KIT):
- Uncovered standard foam, charcoal colored, open cell foam, radiolucent, fire retardant, economic and useful for general positioning.
- Closed Cell Foam (DSC-17-KIT-UF)
- Ultrafoam: Firm, closed cell foam, charcoal colored, resists fluid absorption/contamination and is fire retardant. Ultrafoam construction is ideal for firm support during positioning applications (17-UF).
- Flexible ScanCoat (DSC-17-KIT-SCB):
- State of the art sprayed vinyl coating, withstands tearing or peeling, skid resistant, resists fluid absorption and low attenuation. This vinyl coating is ideal for imaging compatibility, cleanability, and contamination control.
*Please note: ScanCoat (DSC-17-KIT-SCB) is not recommended for low KVP techniques as the edges/seams may show. Items composed of Ultrafoam (-UF) that have a height higher than 3 inches will have a glue seam that may attenuate.
